The Black Church (Qara Kelisa) near Chaldoran, West Azerbaïdjan, Iran
The Monastery of Saint Thaddeus also known as Kara Kelisa (the “Black Church”) with typical Armenian conical roofs is an ancient Armenian monastery. The present structure dates from 1811.
In 2008, this site was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
This caravanserai (or khan) is located on the roadside between Aradan and Sorkheh, in Semnan, Iran.
This building was actually a trade route inn where travelers could rest and recover from day’s journey.
This historical landmark is from the Safavid Dynasty in Iran (1501-1736)
